Early Childhood Intervention
Characterization of the Social Response
Early Childhood Intervention can include the following elements:
Active Family Involvement:
Families have an essential role to have in early intervention, being active participants in the definition of intervention goals and strategies, as well as in their implementation in the family environment.
Individualized Assessment and Intervention Plan:
Each Family identifies their specific needs/concerns, resulting in the drawing up of an Individual Early Intervention Plan (PIIP) adapted to their family, personal and social dynamics.
Multidisciplinary Approach:
Early intervention is made up of a team of professionals from health, education and social services, who collaborate in an integrated way to ensure a broad holistic approach to the needs of children and their families.
